About the counselling I offer

Being a Humanistic Counsellor, I put the client at the heart of what I offer, and I believe that you are the expert on your life and what your needs are. I will not tell you what to do, but will offer a welcoming and helpful space to help you understand more about yourself and the choices you have. It is important to me to offer a safe, confidential and supportive space for you to talk about what matters most to you and to work through the life struggles and personal issues you may be facing in a safe and ethical way.

We currently find ourselves in unprecedented times with the current Covid-19 pandemic. Until such time as it is safe to offer face to face counselling, which is my preferred method of counselling, it is possible to enjoy the benefits of counselling via alternative means. Online counselling is available for clients via a secure and encrypted platform. If you would like online counselling, you will need to have a confidential, private space where you won't be interrupted or overheard. You will require an appropriate device such as a computer, laptop or tablet, and a suitable broadband connection. Even best laid plans can be thwarted by the odd technology glitch, and in the event this should happen, an online sessions protocol would have been discussed and shared with you prior to the session enabling us to resume the session with minimal disruption.

With an extensive background in sales and business development, I understand how difficult pressurised target-oriented environments are and the challenges of stress and overwhelm that can come from such environments. My recent work within IAPT employability has provided first-hand experience of how the workplace can be a significant stressor to mental health and wellbeing. You may be having specific challenges in work such as not feeling able to cope with your workload, or challenges with your work colleagues or manager, and not feel heard or supported.
